Scrap Challenges

Sometimes a challenge is just what a person needs to get the mojo going again.

I'm participating in a challenge this week to use a song title or lyrics on a page. I had this photo of Daniel that was slightly out of focus so kinda dreamy looking. My friend suggested the song 'What a day for a daydream' as a title and I went with it.

I used scraps again. This time Cosmo Cricket scraps I had left over from a couple of December layouts. I love the green wood grain ~ and it matches the background of my photo perfectly. Who knew the Peace River was green :)

I started with white cardstock and some Heidi Swapp masks. Don't you just love the bird? I sprayed over the masks with first my yellow mini mister and then some walnut ink. When the ink was dry I started glueing down my layers. I did a little stitching on this layout. The sewing machine was out for some mending chores so it did double duty last night.
The title was the last piece of the layout to be completed. The Cosmo Cricket chipboard alphabet is so fun!
