Papers are from a couple of different lines. Some pink vellum layered in there too.<br />

I'm still finding places for the adorable wood frames. There are quite a few in the package. Some say FUN and some say LOVE. I think every one of my Mexican holiday layouts so far have one!<br />

I love the shimmer and shine which doesn't show well in the photograph but is gorgeous IRL.<br />
<br />
The papers I used to mat the photo are BoBunny. The chipboard palm tree is Fancy Pants. Prima flower misted with turquoise mist.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ol>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with a Tim Holtz dot stencil and texture paste. </div>
</li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once the paste was dry I used my large scroll mask and turquoise mist. </div>
</li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When that was dry I sprayed a couple different blues and held up the paper to let the ink run. </div>
</li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I spread some blue MM paint and sprinkled some glitter on while it was still wet. </div>
</li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped seashells randomly with turquoise ink.</div>
</li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Then used my text and zig zag lines stamps with black ink. </div>
</li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finally I used my Tim Holtz chevron stencil and white ink.</div>
</li>
</ol>

</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My title uses the mini square stickers(yes that's an upside down f for a T. I was out of Ts) and a chipboard piece with the word BEACH on it. The Prima flower is sprayed with Maya Mist and sprinkled with glitter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I used the border sticker from the BoBunny 'Modern Miss' sheet. It looks like waves so was perfect. A Kaiser strip of bling went on top of that. I pained the LOVE frame with turquoise mist and added an 'adventure' word sticker from the travel sheet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Loved this chipboard palm tree. It's grounded with a patterned paper strip on top of my dotty texture and glitter. <br />

The BoBunny 'Modern Miss' line was the perfect colours for my photos. The minute I spotted the pinks and peaches I thought of the pictures of our Mexican vacation evening entertainment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with black cardstock. Using pink and white paints I created my background using a paint brush and a round lid to create the circles. I matted with the BoBunny patterned paper and some pink and lime green vellum. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjip1LLeKtGPPJur2LquqX7kvFvQ8pu0mPIWBPeA_AFdLuOsN0EMHOLHpzRZdj2hlkSwmfVhkGQX09nf_8mqeVNaghYI00xLR-1c9tiFNEGTlZbDOAJXOpdALPFdk_WtGSh3ZhkrK-XWaA/s1600/DSCF8320.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjip1LLeKtGPPJur2LquqX7kvFvQ8pu0mPIWBPeA_AFdLuOsN0EMHOLHpzRZdj2hlkSwmfVhkGQX09nf_8mqeVNaghYI00xLR-1c9tiFNEGTlZbDOAJXOpdALPFdk_WtGSh3ZhkrK-XWaA/s1600/DSCF8320.JPG" height="330" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I embellished with vellum punched leaves, pink thread, giant Bazzill heart brads, Kaiser bling in clear and pink and some other random brads from my stash.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-Cyl76wVAy1jGosDf4QZDZ6onhVYqy8v4-s3BfE5encE5MOk48AD_4cKxAdFHerLBdgPcz6219GeiBKoyWR7f3xB_Y4me7n-_EcwZM01UKKSoXB8dYw3KJ33blm9rSUv00f9lgEm5SAE/s1600/DSCF8311.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-Cyl76wVAy1jGosDf4QZDZ6onhVYqy8v4-s3BfE5encE5MOk48AD_4cKxAdFHerLBdgPcz6219GeiBKoyWR7f3xB_Y4me7n-_EcwZM01UKKSoXB8dYw3KJ33blm9rSUv00f9lgEm5SAE/s1600/DSCF8311.JPG" height="236" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I picked up the butterfly border punch from Unforgettable Memories a bit ago. So pretty. The Prima flower has a large cloth BoBunny brad in the center.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The title stickers are from the BoBunny 'Modern Miss' sticker sheet. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I swiped a terra cotta coloured Making Memories acrylic paint in a big rectangle across the two papers, then sprayed coffee coloured Maya Mist over my Tim Holtz mask. That gave me the vine scrolls. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk1phVBuqP5YG-25kF9zr80QR3rOS6tfrIRmvU7ZfYpPW3TK_83gyDTr8sA7GEJKC5rHwHycxqMwmc2tnF9zTK7bR7t36FZkjaDTGxhXiV0Se9RMxusu9IuyZdbjC5XSc-puyseo70V0E/s1600/DSCF8300.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk1phVBuqP5YG-25kF9zr80QR3rOS6tfrIRmvU7ZfYpPW3TK_83gyDTr8sA7GEJKC5rHwHycxqMwmc2tnF9zTK7bR7t36FZkjaDTGxhXiV0Se9RMxusu9IuyZdbjC5XSc-puyseo70V0E/s1600/DSCF8300.JPG" height="334" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used some green ink mist to make the big 'sploosh' in the bottom left corner. I used a straw to blow the mist outward. The purple mist was sprayed along the center of the pages then I held the papers up so it ran downward and upward. <br />
I used one of my Kaiser texture stamps around the edges with 'pine cone' tsuniko ink.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv6PQZkaNd-0Dbt8nq-bLQ1zr6nAdPXvzblKugFFcPyOiVf-FkaADM5qQ2xFMRu0jUBNUQs3Nc3cTgPfg4QKWKuqa1tkoKWB1iB7wwZz8cbUZ9l1Cq5o_fdyWzNEIvhcksN_86PJ2zXkM/s1600/DSCF8291.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv6PQZkaNd-0Dbt8nq-bLQ1zr6nAdPXvzblKugFFcPyOiVf-FkaADM5qQ2xFMRu0jUBNUQs3Nc3cTgPfg4QKWKuqa1tkoKWB1iB7wwZz8cbUZ9l1Cq5o_fdyWzNEIvhcksN_86PJ2zXkM/s1600/DSCF8291.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The cheese cloth is sprayed lightly with brown spray so it's not so white. The flowers are Bo Bunny, Prima and 7Gypsies. I used some Making Memories fibres and Bo Bunny chipboard from my stash to embellish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Another bingo card from the Simple Stories paper line and some of their stickers finished off my page.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Another layout for my Mexico album. I'm so glad I have emails and journal entries so I can do the journaling. I was hoping to have this album completed by now. Don't forget to write down those memories. We didn't just do Rappelling on our Mexican vacation. We also did some zip lining. Having teenagers makes you adventurous!</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love the Urban Traveler line by Simple Stories! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started off with plain green cardstock. I sprayed my 12 x 12 leaf mask with green ink and then added some drips of bronze paint. I stamped some dragonflies with the paint as well as some with white and black ink. I finished my background with some black glitter and brown glimmer mist. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The patterned papers are all Simple Stories as are the stickers. Washi tape helped hold down the patterned paper. <br />

<br />
I always find a place for vellum on my page. Here I punched leaves out of vellum and grouped them with a brown flower, Kaiser brad in the center, Kaiser wood camera and a sticker. <br />

We all took a turn at rappelling down the cliff. This is a layout for my son's album. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started off with a brown paper. It has kind of a wood grain or distressed background. I sprayed white mist over my leaf mask and then dripped green MM paint down from the top. The patterned papers are from Simple Stories 'Urban Traveler' line as are the stickers. I've also used some Prima packaging (I've punched butterflies out)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxEN2aXVAJoVN10OA0w5iNcAC4l1bON3NAOiQu6rTvlLL8B89okkG6_6DV3zkV8VS4kG_ohROy4Unwuo2K6Sl1tpDRZIZkOyl-Fn0i68AunIHtze7FHSe1xblJ-QmQyo9hddf1VfXNkqM/s1600/DSCF8254.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxEN2aXVAJoVN10OA0w5iNcAC4l1bON3NAOiQu6rTvlLL8B89okkG6_6DV3zkV8VS4kG_ohROy4Unwuo2K6Sl1tpDRZIZkOyl-Fn0i68AunIHtze7FHSe1xblJ-QmQyo9hddf1VfXNkqM/s1600/DSCF8254.JPG" height="330" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used all 3 of the alpha stickers from the Simple Stories sticker sheet on my title. Also some Kaiser bling, thread and a Prima flower.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik5cXQrfTkIAk38rqp8d4lDtt4_Dg2ZVDgjgCbzs9MBra6Us-0Y0FjEejOs90LcC_3_RaK9z7QFGi2CteYV_uDvozQCwLpzA3pzZcoKOsU2Mf63X26LZHRpr9APn5H87k2WOf59nPbF04/s1600/DSCF8204.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik5cXQrfTkIAk38rqp8d4lDtt4_Dg2ZVDgjgCbzs9MBra6Us-0Y0FjEejOs90LcC_3_RaK9z7QFGi2CteYV_uDvozQCwLpzA3pzZcoKOsU2Mf63X26LZHRpr9APn5H87k2WOf59nPbF04/s1600/DSCF8204.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I just love the old fashioned camera. I've grouped a stamp, leaf punch, a word sticker, bling and the chipboard camera. I like groups of five!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizuR0lYxpmLcTgQEGz4NLrilwTJo118Q_exWehKhyphenhyphen7xaDOJgPuDtHbNl_0678zk07Zn8Coa4J0VBDQiBW9TNnJumDdzonRtaQn9MUSbtmoXyqPA6VpHXI-9Y7mcBRTcNchQson9ndx6iM/s1600/DSCF8208.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizuR0lYxpmLcTgQEGz4NLrilwTJo118Q_exWehKhyphenhyphen7xaDOJgPuDtHbNl_0678zk07Zn8Coa4J0VBDQiBW9TNnJumDdzonRtaQn9MUSbtmoXyqPA6VpHXI-9Y7mcBRTcNchQson9ndx6iM/s1600/DSCF8208.JPG" height="233" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Love these chipboard arrows. And did you notice the 'face' I've inked in. There are five 'faces' on my layout to find. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj77NMA7CCs5bTr5iLsEh3dS8oiTW2xPMal8GsmlPjQmFg6JsCpD4_7x3mB3ga-sfYahhGItNVLKH6mMEhbkMlpHN7MO6VljetR3G5fcNI8O_so_NpFqqWW8OxtULXq9MPS5r81480T-jw/s1600/DSCF8215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj77NMA7CCs5bTr5iLsEh3dS8oiTW2xPMal8GsmlPjQmFg6JsCpD4_7x3mB3ga-sfYahhGItNVLKH6mMEhbkMlpHN7MO6VljetR3G5fcNI8O_so_NpFqqWW8OxtULXq9MPS5r81480T-jw/s1600/DSCF8215.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Instead of framing a part of my photo with this 'fun' frame I've used it to accent a couple of stickers. There are lots of these in a pack so you can use them in all kinds of different ways. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKfCGZz8kE6OkITtSaxXtOJbFTUA32E4rCxUO65Ny-7dhqyzvzJnmSGNohI7kho2H8X2elyFDQ_STioOfOc7O5ANDQ0t6B96Use7hcKK165scZC6LlxHgjY0cihQnA-PPxSDKtag6Mizw/s1600/DSCF8216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKfCGZz8kE6OkITtSaxXtOJbFTUA32E4rCxUO65Ny-7dhqyzvzJnmSGNohI7kho2H8X2elyFDQ_STioOfOc7O5ANDQ0t6B96Use7hcKK165scZC6LlxHgjY0cihQnA-PPxSDKtag6Mizw/s1600/DSCF8216.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The next time you're in Unforgettable Memories check out the great selection of chipboard and wood cut designs. There is a chipboard wall where most of the designs are located, but keep your eyes open as you're wondering through the aisles because there is more. Pink Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17254416539222144530noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653499529782499859.post-24950886524491252722014-04-30T19:14:00.004-07:002014-04-30T22:03:52.059-07:00Reminisce vacationSo first I showed you the scaredy cat rappeller (me) and now I'm scrapping my adrenaline junkie who loved the rappelling and he'd do it again, unlike myself. Once was enough!<br />
<br />
The background paper is a Reminisce design. Loved the title on the bottom left. And if you don't want the same title on the other page just flip it over. It is the same pattern minus the title. I backed my layout with navy cardstock because I wanted to add some mixed media and the Reminisce paper is a lighter weight. It would have totally wrinkled and buckled with the paste and sprays on it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjbn2Y0aOOOwEhRs3361ijjCmwn2x-9GjaWdXPTdgjghmxSTciVJ4rtNW96FLiti9CO_XGIewm8lL0ILaQB6wgQDIDWnEj7O9fg1yPq6dp0Y7XYtUiWmSWJeKew9HIdWXWUZn8046Ld-o/s1600/DSCF8191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjbn2Y0aOOOwEhRs3361ijjCmwn2x-9GjaWdXPTdgjghmxSTciVJ4rtNW96FLiti9CO_XGIewm8lL0ILaQB6wgQDIDWnEj7O9fg1yPq6dp0Y7XYtUiWmSWJeKew9HIdWXWUZn8046Ld-o/s1600/DSCF8191.JPG" height="330" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The 'GO. SEE. DO.' paper is a Simple Stories page, as is the Explore piece.<br />
<br />
I found a feather floating around my scrap room so I glued it down along with some punched leaves, Prima flowers and thread held down with random brads.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggR_e5RLCiCewJFJPtLoyHeWM3lHaDjIFoOnI0YlNHpBLykpVeaDa51e10rncoTL3l3g105FPFmOP5uASJTo5mR58fc3QFAxQ8j9ZtNj4aThwPWtTBeTuQUuwLGjT-B2CPG0RU5hyKJQU/s1600/DSCF8186.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggR_e5RLCiCewJFJPtLoyHeWM3lHaDjIFoOnI0YlNHpBLykpVeaDa51e10rncoTL3l3g105FPFmOP5uASJTo5mR58fc3QFAxQ8j9ZtNj4aThwPWtTBeTuQUuwLGjT-B2CPG0RU5hyKJQU/s1600/DSCF8186.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I always find a spot on my layout for vellum. I punched some leaves out of the white vellum and glued it down with some green cardstock leaves. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIPv8KIAaM8CnOC9Sa7mTnzqwSoUXnvHyNgpyIQlpaFBLc5YHchpGMWuSdmbiwFDZgzGWFjzZV2AaOLQv8I-wb9HUaYoXDRyyv4Cgl5Mkjg0AaDh7HqaVBaUJFm_c46cs1pDSDUNmiYnQ/s1600/DSCF8182.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIPv8KIAaM8CnOC9Sa7mTnzqwSoUXnvHyNgpyIQlpaFBLc5YHchpGMWuSdmbiwFDZgzGWFjzZV2AaOLQv8I-wb9HUaYoXDRyyv4Cgl5Mkjg0AaDh7HqaVBaUJFm_c46cs1pDSDUNmiYnQ/s1600/DSCF8182.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>

Used some journaling bits from my stash. Love the 7Gypsies tissue paper.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thread seems too be a big trend in scrapbooking at the moment. I see it everywhere. With all the vines and ropes hanging in my photos I thought the thread could be kind of symbolic. Not sure that I'll use a lot of thread in my layouts, but I like it here.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I searched through my brad box to find a selection of brads that would work with my colours and I used them to attach my thread to the page.<br />
<br />
Check out the Vacation section the next time you are in Unforgettable Memories. There are some great lines no matter where you went or what you did for holidays.<br />

We were lucky enough to escape the Fort St John winter for a couple weeks this Spring Break. We came home with hundreds of photos and so many memories to document. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I spent the first week home going through my photos and selecting the ones I wanted to scrap. I uploaded them to <a href="http://www.unforgettablememories.ca/photo-finishing">Unforgettable Memories photofinishing</a> and picked them up the next morning. While I was in the store I selected papers and embellishments for my layouts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next I spent some time going through the photos grouping them. Over the past couple of weeks I've been putting together papers and embellishment to go with each group of paper and writing up the journaling. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now I'm ready to scrap my photos. My first layout is below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The right page is from a Fancy Pants line called "summer's end" and is from their fall line, but I loved the frames down the side where I put my journaling and one of my photos. I used my exacto knife to cut around part of the frame and tucked my photo through the slits. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The back side of the Fancy Pants paper is a pretty yellow pattern which went so well with what I was wearing that day, so I've used it for matting and a border on the left edge.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBcRwogNArVLOuoUbJkacVVBDc1uf9CO3vQgzVddD2JhuMvL8u759Jfq4RrXCVB6mBtq7iJufTmUzqQjpO_7c-6x6s3V_F9tDtM61yJ6-mCK9idjItEDAWcu_hyphenhyphenmyWOnaDefzpXbAGEss/s1600/DSCF8164.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBcRwogNArVLOuoUbJkacVVBDc1uf9CO3vQgzVddD2JhuMvL8u759Jfq4RrXCVB6mBtq7iJufTmUzqQjpO_7c-6x6s3V_F9tDtM61yJ6-mCK9idjItEDAWcu_hyphenhyphenmyWOnaDefzpXbAGEss/s1600/DSCF8164.JPG" height="326" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I found my inspiration at a South African challenge board ~ <a href="http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.ca/">Scrap Around the World.</a> Love the turquoise and, of course, the butterflies. I also used the words in the top left corner (minus the 'it'). My title is 'Don't overthink, just let go' which is pretty much how I felt as I was dropping over the edge. I wasn't nervous watching my family go over, but when it was my turn I started freaking about the time I had to fall backwards over the cliff. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV-IsEKErDN0i0KxHJecn2_rm8Rr8QTZx_DRPLrl9Qlll9alCHeupmYksp-HmoHbz1CUJVBdo3x75yrCvIQ8d3CkwXMLDuzKQXylekbMi0e3nkyxU1gTDye68wfCZYQ-_7QqDMGIJXRwM/s1600/april2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV-IsEKErDN0i0KxHJecn2_rm8Rr8QTZx_DRPLrl9Qlll9alCHeupmYksp-HmoHbz1CUJVBdo3x75yrCvIQ8d3CkwXMLDuzKQXylekbMi0e3nkyxU1gTDye68wfCZYQ-_7QqDMGIJXRwM/s1600/april2014.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I've used Simple Stories "Urban Traveller" line for matting and stickers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgti9ur0tLDNs70AicpjLwEmF8pA4SLBSTzKn-0tHX7wME9B-B7MECUrGEHDltGc59rOIf-R65z9XFBO-cCtFdDeXtnSMqK-FpmowFKmEpjnDQhCqFu9xxdfuYQNodOVTYqc_sChowr7_o/s1600/DSCF8157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgti9ur0tLDNs70AicpjLwEmF8pA4SLBSTzKn-0tHX7wME9B-B7MECUrGEHDltGc59rOIf-R65z9XFBO-cCtFdDeXtnSMqK-FpmowFKmEpjnDQhCqFu9xxdfuYQNodOVTYqc_sChowr7_o/s1600/DSCF8157.JPG" height="234" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Check out the travel words I've used above and below the three photos of me dropping into the jungle. There are lots more of these words on the sticker sheet by Simple Stories. On the same sheet are four different alphas, two of which I used for my title. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcBNJqPyElcx5rE5Js4gOpHvtnhrKOKdAha3_rvHxXb6xq72rBZrEUNpQc9Ovf7QLpQTDLEJvvKS2aAYUC0PAiXujno_mv6vFbRnmQFYR2AvZLlTAd_5fq54t5GKkKOXTMvDEf4FsgEtM/s1600/DSCF8156.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcBNJqPyElcx5rE5Js4gOpHvtnhrKOKdAha3_rvHxXb6xq72rBZrEUNpQc9Ovf7QLpQTDLEJvvKS2aAYUC0PAiXujno_mv6vFbRnmQFYR2AvZLlTAd_5fq54t5GKkKOXTMvDEf4FsgEtM/s1600/DSCF8156.JPG" height="229" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Love my butterfly punch. It is like a border punch but cuts out both sides so you end up with a lacey strip of butterflies. Check out the punch section for more neat designs.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh99d-s_-GrS0zjDYG8Ndx5A-RF9Ylxr6GQb8oTJmTTe115FLCAbrURHqhbh5F1qJq_Y5jUCSc4_lDRJZd63OuMdSCdi4gQl7KbYphhjTP8rXNnZP6hc6GhwD2js3CQYMbQF02ADxc-9CI/s1600/DSCF8158.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh99d-s_-GrS0zjDYG8Ndx5A-RF9Ylxr6GQb8oTJmTTe115FLCAbrURHqhbh5F1qJq_Y5jUCSc4_lDRJZd63OuMdSCdi4gQl7KbYphhjTP8rXNnZP6hc6GhwD2js3CQYMbQF02ADxc-9CI/s1600/DSCF8158.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here I've used a little texture paste and one of my Tim Holtz stencils. I drizzled turquoise paint and sprayed some gold mist through the stencil after the paste had dried. I love the rough texture against the delicate vellum leaves I punched. I also love that wood camera<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiddVO-ZF6BIqycAhLzcD_a2KATNHo7S8gZ5ExZHW6uR_1FoUYSGITL4N39QKprBKhx7ZdP43DkPkwURNuSDYajvpG8JRDAnAFkYhyvRbWZ7JfQzg-0aOvItzvXWIjk-VymDia9OEAuwe8/s1600/DSCF8159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiddVO-ZF6BIqycAhLzcD_a2KATNHo7S8gZ5ExZHW6uR_1FoUYSGITL4N39QKprBKhx7ZdP43DkPkwURNuSDYajvpG8JRDAnAFkYhyvRbWZ7JfQzg-0aOvItzvXWIjk-VymDia9OEAuwe8/s1600/DSCF8159.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>

Layered striped paper on the top half and glued down strips of the black/grey BoBunny patterned paper. <br />
<br />
I splashed some shimmery turquoise Making Memories paint across the page and spread it with an old credit card. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifYWYOEq3snzgLmSvUTK9znh7Ph9RRGwZZnW99eyYFjTqtS6IzBXUv-u_i3hnQPRQJNR6b91JtJiB3ckIoLxe9kwY84ZltopzqHRhdN2Vy9-DmXUFGDJT3EsB9C-CmKIpKfbXausant6w/s1600/DSCF7675.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifYWYOEq3snzgLmSvUTK9znh7Ph9RRGwZZnW99eyYFjTqtS6IzBXUv-u_i3hnQPRQJNR6b91JtJiB3ckIoLxe9kwY84ZltopzqHRhdN2Vy9-DmXUFGDJT3EsB9C-CmKIpKfbXausant6w/s1600/DSCF7675.JPG" height="630" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I use vellum a lot on my pages. For this layout I punched leaves out of a strip of white vellum. Some of those leaves I tucked back in. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZqBydXNiv_70e-p0Aw-8bpnS7-kEjxlIfSeD_raxaVoRRUNbil8JU0uzQpug_KNekU7RR9Tu2JmdUauwS7B0bZmMv9_I9a5nlg70ZQfx7_UPov7MeHZPU0PnDuVByurCFtJBJR_Mbqs4/s1600/DSCF7683.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZqBydXNiv_70e-p0Aw-8bpnS7-kEjxlIfSeD_raxaVoRRUNbil8JU0uzQpug_KNekU7RR9Tu2JmdUauwS7B0bZmMv9_I9a5nlg70ZQfx7_UPov7MeHZPU0PnDuVByurCFtJBJR_Mbqs4/s1600/DSCF7683.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The remaining punched leaves I used to accent my title. I also used a little wood camera (Kaiser) some stamping (isn't that owl adorable?) and a Prima bloom.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEp7-1W4C4LXx23vSYew-gp1VVAWDo7iRQE8cEvD1KoUQyKwXpAPQZGbTm3OD8B4p-72a5sp52jS0V2b3yk1u1B5pTXB-jNL5pyPxPEK_QjBK0w4P7yx-tUOujZhVXH7Rce2yInExnJPw/s1600/DSCF7682.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEp7-1W4C4LXx23vSYew-gp1VVAWDo7iRQE8cEvD1KoUQyKwXpAPQZGbTm3OD8B4p-72a5sp52jS0V2b3yk1u1B5pTXB-jNL5pyPxPEK_QjBK0w4P7yx-tUOujZhVXH7Rce2yInExnJPw/s1600/DSCF7682.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I've added washi tape in strips beneath my photo matting. Stamped bird, wood camera and Prima bloom. I like to group my embellishments. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJNSvzsAg2DLor4DjkXQBLQxBW7CWXONSzEFqxWmRt1jYsmoWw4lVlYuzjuyqW7IPMHmkq5mle9_4ZfE1DQ8kiVCtYFwt2Uo6_O5MP2UZmt5DvI3vtpzPMb-aGfdSeRL0pNpOUbVp_RQU/s1600/DSCF7685.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJNSvzsAg2DLor4DjkXQBLQxBW7CWXONSzEFqxWmRt1jYsmoWw4lVlYuzjuyqW7IPMHmkq5mle9_4ZfE1DQ8kiVCtYFwt2Uo6_O5MP2UZmt5DvI3vtpzPMb-aGfdSeRL0pNpOUbVp_RQU/s1600/DSCF7685.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The dots are rub-on. An old rub-on so they didn't go on evenly, but I don't mind the random look. I stamped another little bird beneath the Prima hydrangea. Kaiser jewels in the center of the flower.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The patterned paper I used for the background is a Carta Bella design.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used a panel mask on this page. After rubbing texture paste across the mask I sprayed those three panels with gold Maya mist. You can see more detail in the close-ups below. </div>

The stickers (chipboard and paper) are Echo Park.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I've used the red border stickers under punched strips of gold vellum. The border punch I used alternately embellishes and punches out snowflake shapes. I've torn pieces of the musical washi tape and layered it on top of the gold vellum.<br />

I did. My layout is below. <br />
<br />
I've used some older Prima papers and rub-ons as well as Prima blooms, leaves and stamps. <br />
<br />
I started with a sheet of cardstock and layered washi tape under the photo mattes and a strip across the top of the layout. Then I sprayed, drizzled and dripped various colours of Glimmer mist over it all. Yellow, blue, and pink. I decided it was too bright so covered everything with a thin layer of white paint to tone it down. Just enough of a layer to wash all the colours out.<br />
<br />
I used a rose from Prima's mini motifs screens on each side of my photo matte with blue spray mist. It is subtle, but I like how it turned out. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnv7bF-4-ZKGClgD-nqdwC2VBAGYl5bJ3SVMAdp-MnzbA0W3hZsHa144CUCo4GWJBYSEtEz3N3h5aNOjuospgdhUOxMTF8ABafGxXha4YBcFn3fDTN3LZ9hyYewr3p_VHEBil2rW72r-A/s1600/DSCF7666.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnv7bF-4-ZKGClgD-nqdwC2VBAGYl5bJ3SVMAdp-MnzbA0W3hZsHa144CUCo4GWJBYSEtEz3N3h5aNOjuospgdhUOxMTF8ABafGxXha4YBcFn3fDTN3LZ9hyYewr3p_VHEBil2rW72r-A/s1600/DSCF7666.JPG" height="640" width="622" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my chevron stencil to create some texture and then drizzled some turquoise glimmer mist over it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpvTqcRgrdIyDRQbRbC9e7DFAjkOUWUkuhW9xppi5pJftI23EudT0ciiiGFPOT_G2zqGOO8Nw-8Jz-BOs2CyceCj5yHHWo6YG27o4T-A4O1h5DYGBF2rig-wIwQ-szkBYTQ5JOFMjbtzY/s1600/DSCF7673.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpvTqcRgrdIyDRQbRbC9e7DFAjkOUWUkuhW9xppi5pJftI23EudT0ciiiGFPOT_G2zqGOO8Nw-8Jz-BOs2CyceCj5yHHWo6YG27o4T-A4O1h5DYGBF2rig-wIwQ-szkBYTQ5JOFMjbtzY/s1600/DSCF7673.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I used a small acrylic, floral Prima stamp and pink ink to add some more pattern. And a script stamp with black ink to add further pattern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGZh7Wc3OUBfuw4IaRg9MNZp0ZTOXMsr8XwMXC8kH7wlCTjyPsnhUbcB6SWBYUrs3Q4iL_7tTIWFO0tfrcScyRTSZ5eY1az5eGlf8ev84D_QgB1D563ecbC6PcdURaF6L77EtiMamB5As/s1600/DSCF7670.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGZh7Wc3OUBfuw4IaRg9MNZp0ZTOXMsr8XwMXC8kH7wlCTjyPsnhUbcB6SWBYUrs3Q4iL_7tTIWFO0tfrcScyRTSZ5eY1az5eGlf8ev84D_QgB1D563ecbC6PcdURaF6L77EtiMamB5As/s1600/DSCF7670.JPG" height="285" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The 'I heart U' is a Prima rub-on as are the cute little creatures elsewhere on the layout.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I layered cheesecloth under my layered photo matte and some vellum strips. The zig zag is washi tape. Check out the store for loads of great washi tape designs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8AH4w8fBJUqPW5jPHLhyphenhyphenxhA1oxJi3uw8yMC6b0yipcgWopO6IpTmOmFRiBAfxvceQDae3JM27QUw8_YY142NHD6Gkj6ryzo0yM5FIEaA1arAKSZMTPZjkex5GKrom4zA-gqMU6e4HayU/s1600/DSCF7671.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8AH4w8fBJUqPW5jPHLhyphenhyphenxhA1oxJi3uw8yMC6b0yipcgWopO6IpTmOmFRiBAfxvceQDae3JM27QUw8_YY142NHD6Gkj6ryzo0yM5FIEaA1arAKSZMTPZjkex5GKrom4zA-gqMU6e4HayU/s1600/DSCF7671.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A cluster of embellishments with a Prima felt 'b' for my Breanna.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And a Prima felt 15 for my daughters age.<br />

I hope Fort St John has contributed a few layouts to Prima's sketch challenge this month.<br />

This months challenge at <a href="http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/">white with 1</a> is 'grape'. This is what I made for the challenge. There are photos below of my background in process and some close ups of the details.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFmC86EE1BjHDnVMbMLEtU7UCdceebj2oxxShogVwd-1CCcm4-LVQhzR6NoWzIhIef_saWGvYlUMBDpsHz7C0982QJLuPWrdz4t6t-RROOun1syqigjlhghJv1gAD6AHvWxhJ3qfjh69c/s1600/DSCF7629.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFmC86EE1BjHDnVMbMLEtU7UCdceebj2oxxShogVwd-1CCcm4-LVQhzR6NoWzIhIef_saWGvYlUMBDpsHz7C0982QJLuPWrdz4t6t-RROOun1syqigjlhghJv1gAD6AHvWxhJ3qfjh69c/s1600/DSCF7629.JPG" height="640" width="636" /></a></div>
<br />
My page is bordered with 7Gypsies musical washi tape and some iridescent purple paper.<br />
<br />
I've accented my photo with Prima flowers, Maya Rds snowflakes, Smash post stamps and K&Co stickers (butterfly) with iridescent purple accents.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsXFOteR_yxM-NymJzbiZkNZ-3cn0A-Hsh40kG5NW3tX9bQyoqZwRBNLkaEtk-1aegFIpis8YxXChW-0P8PUfO0hnPj54doUtOjzIdXVhWaEPNel1ylfsw__UXa_tyhj4yuj8jCEtb9sg/s1600/DSCF7632.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsXFOteR_yxM-NymJzbiZkNZ-3cn0A-Hsh40kG5NW3tX9bQyoqZwRBNLkaEtk-1aegFIpis8YxXChW-0P8PUfO0hnPj54doUtOjzIdXVhWaEPNel1ylfsw__UXa_tyhj4yuj8jCEtb9sg/s1600/DSCF7632.JPG" height="229" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I used Thickers alpha stickers for my title and purple bling in the center of some of my flowers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeCH1k1Oc880ier_ixOhRdisBVY03tnDwI0ScRjVKV67SH8aBksfx4vmG8X23bErHLRaJtC0rBlYxhz8jVDtla6DBP_12_AUo1MEUOMaeGsqXLfgxxkPd3-iGJYoKN5kVHbnNsL6_926M/s1600/DSCF7633.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeCH1k1Oc880ier_ixOhRdisBVY03tnDwI0ScRjVKV67SH8aBksfx4vmG8X23bErHLRaJtC0rBlYxhz8jVDtla6DBP_12_AUo1MEUOMaeGsqXLfgxxkPd3-iGJYoKN5kVHbnNsL6_926M/s1600/DSCF7633.JPG" height="254" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I just love those Maya Rd snowflakes. You get several sizes in a package and a few of each size. I've used them on a few layouts so far and have lots left for future layouts.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrpLg5SD3Bvd87DWSyjCNBeg61wNioguOwlp2WHLnj6dfPnQUOTX3IKPAu_qnJuIJk2c1Z8-qn37SODSiKbtkaFKrkFdMQo_ivLkyyYw6gXYLLvEPUlT-GryLlQl2OzowN34Q_6VDrlrI/s1600/DSCF7635.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrpLg5SD3Bvd87DWSyjCNBeg61wNioguOwlp2WHLnj6dfPnQUOTX3IKPAu_qnJuIJk2c1Z8-qn37SODSiKbtkaFKrkFdMQo_ivLkyyYw6gXYLLvEPUlT-GryLlQl2OzowN34Q_6VDrlrI/s1600/DSCF7635.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the start of my background. I used a 12 x 12 scroll mask and spread paint across the page with purple Maya Mist for colour.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbo4pMzg7KeBarTLt1KjeHq8C5KXtVyAOvycJWIPeC2DOlkfd7_mws1AULmpbJ_IFWDQ9F-a1A5kXfNWEk0n-Z95IY8ncmz9HZ6X_haQ7QvK4TvPBvnE-v1qiqWR9zfwplBDEzS6vyBLU/s1600/DSCF7623.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbo4pMzg7KeBarTLt1KjeHq8C5KXtVyAOvycJWIPeC2DOlkfd7_mws1AULmpbJ_IFWDQ9F-a1A5kXfNWEk0n-Z95IY8ncmz9HZ6X_haQ7QvK4TvPBvnE-v1qiqWR9zfwplBDEzS6vyBLU/s1600/DSCF7623.JPG" height="286" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is what it looked like when I pulled off the mask.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi89Yur0lS1SQl1kgGhhjlLetw4l5elf-qWf4p444Nld90EHh9VZl9i47s2MFBRpWhLDXNaxNLvtLqDbsU8BPn-5ouc92c-u5ChB_Xurlrjg7C4XcGSyZ1zIXJOm7hQmk9r6w1D-dOFxOk/s1600/DSCF7624.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi89Yur0lS1SQl1kgGhhjlLetw4l5elf-qWf4p444Nld90EHh9VZl9i47s2MFBRpWhLDXNaxNLvtLqDbsU8BPn-5ouc92c-u5ChB_Xurlrjg7C4XcGSyZ1zIXJOm7hQmk9r6w1D-dOFxOk/s1600/DSCF7624.JPG" height="266" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The purple was very washed out so I added some more purple mist by dribbling it down my page while holding the paper upright. Love how the dribbles settled in the masked areas and the ridges of the paint as it ran down.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here is the Colour Challenge. Gorgeous pinks, grey and yellow.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with this Simple Stories paper. Check out the entire line in Unforgettable Memories.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBi5fsjBNoswWIB6pim43mHEQTRHiMPp664kIkvRBkSVlnW4BBNzTyfmwz8kRdmx8kAtVPKdGlK-6-t-8M0abD6IbuE0L01TN2F1FqxfE30atet83gB2JKAMv2MO9ca-dirvEBI3sm0K4/s1600/imagesFT3ILSJU.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBi5fsjBNoswWIB6pim43mHEQTRHiMPp664kIkvRBkSVlnW4BBNzTyfmwz8kRdmx8kAtVPKdGlK-6-t-8M0abD6IbuE0L01TN2F1FqxfE30atet83gB2JKAMv2MO9ca-dirvEBI3sm0K4/s1600/imagesFT3ILSJU.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my number stencil and white texture paste. Then I painted it with pink Maya Roads glimmer mist. I swiped yellow Making Memories paint across my background and splashed droplets of darker pink Glimmer Mist. I got pretty messy with it.<br />

The yellow and pinky/purple paper strips are plain glossy paper I've covered with alcohol inks. The stickers are from the Echo Park sticker sheet I used on my last layout. It was still on my desk and some of the designs were grey and black which worked with my colour scheme. <br />

It's the middle of January and all those Christmas photos have been developed and are ready to scrapbook. I had some of my daughter and my niece decorating Grandma's gingerbread men before popping them in the oven. It's one of our traditions. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Karen Foster (KF) has the perfect chipboard embellishment pack for these and similar photos. Called Grandma's kitchen it comes with a frame, a title piece and a couple of circle embellishments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I picked Echo Parks Christmas line because the paper and stickers matched the KF embellishments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here are some close-ups...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Echo Park sticker sheet is 12 x 12 and included this 'Baked with much Love' piece that works perfectly on my layout. I used some Prima blooms and lots of layers under my photos, including tissue paper and vellum.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiquTkEkV91ndnxG-MR-fV4x5VRCguqsaOAqibCg4GecSJjd4M9G95x2mC-vl574OPy0Q7Ahjt5UYJ9_OC72RsfvlzkZJVM-e-nxnLu5ZNAT2DftDaBwqX9gK7TkJ4zVeeF8c85Rez63lk/s1600/DSCF7584.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiquTkEkV91ndnxG-MR-fV4x5VRCguqsaOAqibCg4GecSJjd4M9G95x2mC-vl574OPy0Q7Ahjt5UYJ9_OC72RsfvlzkZJVM-e-nxnLu5ZNAT2DftDaBwqX9gK7TkJ4zVeeF8c85Rez63lk/s1600/DSCF7584.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I often use vellum as a matting layer on my layouts. Here I also used it elsewhere on my layout. It's a white vellum with hearts on it. The hearts don't show up well on the scan but they are there and look very pretty! <br />
I also used a circle of red bling cut in half and placed along the top of my page. <br />

I really like this Cosmo Cricket patterned paper. I like that it is a solid grey with some white markings to make it a patterned paper. I tore off the manufacturers strip and then glued it back down the right edge. I liked the orange colour.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Under the photos I've used the acrylic leftovers from a sheet of acrylic embellishments. It's clear and adds a little depth to my layout.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I really like the Prima frosted branch. I've hung a pink heart from it. I think this same frosted branch would look really pretty a little higher on a layout with snowflakes hanging from it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirFRRjgZD-dqcLiAVspns3jk38F6RzWbsqAOcc-ATDLsrB3WuF_1p_qFw9Se-gsa0O0LmveKvxzpZMlFgGc-cSfgCdQsCOkO_2e5dXV1ugyil_b0RL-sB5u2ey2WW8AcjwQaQerXLuDPY/s1600/DSCF7565.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirFRRjgZD-dqcLiAVspns3jk38F6RzWbsqAOcc-ATDLsrB3WuF_1p_qFw9Se-gsa0O0LmveKvxzpZMlFgGc-cSfgCdQsCOkO_2e5dXV1ugyil_b0RL-sB5u2ey2WW8AcjwQaQerXLuDPY/s1600/DSCF7565.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped some script in various areas of my background and used grey magic mesh to add texture. The Bella Blvd sticker, the clear flower with an MM brad center and the map embellishment are all bits from my stash. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I used some pretty Prima blooms and leaves. The blingy LOVE is one of Making Memories metal embellishments. <br />

The last time I was in Unforgettable Memories I picked up some Cosmo Cricket. I love the colours and patterns of this summer line. Just gorgeous! Pinks, oranges and yellows. And I found the perfect Prima flowers to match.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I collected a bunch of leftovers from my stash that matched. Like the transparency down the left border, and the orange felt flowers in the center.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd78ur5Uxj6HKU-yJ7aPS6oKiyfWUCL85ug-tic7aJAwDgHK3PvjEhPOkDbQ_j51biWGVPD-gHbu2eWZWnXZM7IDSHV-8_QUWVmmqJsNZjKEgnhvqyR7LQizl64c6hqu-vrQhETYmdt5Y/s1600/DSCF7531.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="330" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd78ur5Uxj6HKU-yJ7aPS6oKiyfWUCL85ug-tic7aJAwDgHK3PvjEhPOkDbQ_j51biWGVPD-gHbu2eWZWnXZM7IDSHV-8_QUWVmmqJsNZjKEgnhvqyR7LQizl64c6hqu-vrQhETYmdt5Y/s640/DSCF7531.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I tied a posie of three Prima flowers with a piece of gold ribbon. The metal plaque is Making Memories and the stamp is SMASH by K & Co. I punched some butterflies out of black cardstock and used pink bling down their bodies. So pretty!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYfZYNPfTekROjcHNSpf2gMDoKSC0MhZbBAcUj7mg48sqCvKBx1AoLVKexmEeKE-k7chQdY67nOCw5Bs4pb9hYMUqNeGOUY7hN1hQRVHXbkoOuO3YlaB6JI_uf6ROgh_jP7C-ol_cMBRo/s1600/DSCF7536.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYfZYNPfTekROjcHNSpf2gMDoKSC0MhZbBAcUj7mg48sqCvKBx1AoLVKexmEeKE-k7chQdY67nOCw5Bs4pb9hYMUqNeGOUY7hN1hQRVHXbkoOuO3YlaB6JI_uf6ROgh_jP7C-ol_cMBRo/s320/DSCF7536.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Remember 'magic mesh'? I still have some iin my stash. I cut strips of orange magic mesh for some texture on my layout. I also used pieces of pink vellum (I'd punched some butterflies out of this piece for some past layout). The square epoxy stickers are really old SEI. I save everything and love using up my stash. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij9MlpJOykjicgzGqIkAEGjXvLRjisrkUpHrF5j7sJfijaj77tdPt6-7FgY4fzR3NQKzZ49kLm4y83V9N5Wlp1kJl4pDIAShVdl_2Cbpdear-9OAg6VevsqV0jAEvUBxRIF0vOqtnVNC4/s1600/DSCF7537.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij9MlpJOykjicgzGqIkAEGjXvLRjisrkUpHrF5j7sJfijaj77tdPt6-7FgY4fzR3NQKzZ49kLm4y83V9N5Wlp1kJl4pDIAShVdl_2Cbpdear-9OAg6VevsqV0jAEvUBxRIF0vOqtnVNC4/s320/DSCF7537.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The HOME sticker and Grandparents are both from a Making Memories sticker sheet. I stamped one of my Kaiser camera wood pieces using my SMASH date stamper. The pink Bakers Twine is twisted up and glued down under the stickers and embellishments. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgukFAXc3syLqeG8NiaAzshyphenhyphenqyc817HQXxXQLYJ0vcqRP3UV8GzFnMlgCOhMhQPQ6AC951GphXEDF6R43XCpsEXasNRtvFUtYZOBQqQFvWDjLlhPqzOz2Rre8FBRZsTl5eMN1e571UfClc/s1600/DSCF7538.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgukFAXc3syLqeG8NiaAzshyphenhyphenqyc817HQXxXQLYJ0vcqRP3UV8GzFnMlgCOhMhQPQ6AC951GphXEDF6R43XCpsEXasNRtvFUtYZOBQqQFvWDjLlhPqzOz2Rre8FBRZsTl5eMN1e571UfClc/s320/DSCF7538.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My journaling is a mix of alpha stickers, hand writing and SMASH date stamper. Accented with another Prima bloom and black butterfly. I wanted the black to match the left border. <br />

The next time you are in the store you really should check out the Cosmo Cricket lines. the geometric designs are so striking and there are lots of great colour combos. <br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love, love, love how these cards turned out. And they really are quick and easy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with white cardstock and a variety of ink mists. I sprayed blue first. Then some purple. Then red. A little more blue and purple. Lots of gold on top. Remember to let each colour dry before spraying another colour on top. Just a few minutes, but it prevents the colours from blending and becoming muddy. The gold Maya Mist on top adds a really pretty shimmer.</div>

<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I edged each card in the Inca gold I had used on my last cards. And then used a fine black pen to scribble a border.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-CNOw3MRV0cK1f82EwWztqD0spI-QDEgRI3q8ZT4KaozsamsnLU0gjLPzd9QkAuc4y3GhGHWhd-yIoTepllleP8WbHbaTq34u8p-CEXMRmECSWqEqs76pShzlLUZtZJsRaxbs0rnXTiU/s1600/DSCF7507.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-CNOw3MRV0cK1f82EwWztqD0spI-QDEgRI3q8ZT4KaozsamsnLU0gjLPzd9QkAuc4y3GhGHWhd-yIoTepllleP8WbHbaTq34u8p-CEXMRmECSWqEqs76pShzlLUZtZJsRaxbs0rnXTiU/s320/DSCF7507.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I found some gold thread and cut long lengths. About an arms length or more. Then bunched it up and glued down on my card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5ccZvGDO6t0viNtteFAkM-ZrL4bjg1ZWy8-4AdNHGsjI-ZJjdzoML8UZmeg9e2qZ6CYrYA-ZYgim1UxRiIs8D_cRy6o0X07FlG-vy0R1tEKGO9AXNPpS3n90LLuZttP4ymzKshPGginY/s1600/DSCF7509.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5ccZvGDO6t0viNtteFAkM-ZrL4bjg1ZWy8-4AdNHGsjI-ZJjdzoML8UZmeg9e2qZ6CYrYA-ZYgim1UxRiIs8D_cRy6o0X07FlG-vy0R1tEKGO9AXNPpS3n90LLuZttP4ymzKshPGginY/s320/DSCF7509.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I punched snowflakes out of gold paper. I have three different sized snowflake punches. Some I layered, some I pop-dotted for dimension and some I just glued straight down. The biggest snowflake was adhered over the gold thread.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Each of the snowflakes got a blingy jewel to dress it up. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I collaged the matting with bits and pieces of tissue paper, vellum and Christmas patterned papers I had left over from other projects.<br />

These cards are really quick and easy to make, and so pretty IRL with all the shimmery ink, Inca gold, gold thread, gold paper and jewels. Unforgettable Memories has all the supplies you'll need to create these cards for yourself. It's too late to mail out Christmas cards, but I needed a few for friends in town so I pulled out my Christmas stamps, some spray inks and some gorgeous poinsettia's I picked up Unforgettable Memories a couple weeks ago.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdLcBdUta5PKNNQOEjipifDvDqKVp-T0rlRfpY-1WSgp9G7pDL5a9Xj_35Mdltrw1B5NjB-4fBdUJNEpZkCnhMw3oIFu63HSI1CmaYiqcrBiTZ-82-WPa5sFpv_Xk_XkLbpiB8tzw4cdk/s1600/unnamed2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="336" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdLcBdUta5PKNNQOEjipifDvDqKVp-T0rlRfpY-1WSgp9G7pDL5a9Xj_35Mdltrw1B5NjB-4fBdUJNEpZkCnhMw3oIFu63HSI1CmaYiqcrBiTZ-82-WPa5sFpv_Xk_XkLbpiB8tzw4cdk/s640/unnamed2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_1160656687"></span><br />
I started with white cardstock, red and green spray inks, a background stamp(though I'm thinking I want to try this same technique with a big poinsettia stamp) and a paintbrush. <br />
I also needed cardstock for the card base. <br />
And 7 Gypsies tissue paper, vellum and Christmas patterned paper for matting.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjghSxARGfVDGONJavGHfNzgQJSLcU4fvboyVrmEQ_e1orH0b0OufS5D6EWY-yTq9Y4ZG4EEC2BLS4M8L727XCATDQAmeBFoJLaUaSQl0bDljccHsdzdnGMaZFZByZbtkq6iHwMm0XL_GM/s1600/unnamed3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjghSxARGfVDGONJavGHfNzgQJSLcU4fvboyVrmEQ_e1orH0b0OufS5D6EWY-yTq9Y4ZG4EEC2BLS4M8L727XCATDQAmeBFoJLaUaSQl0bDljccHsdzdnGMaZFZByZbtkq6iHwMm0XL_GM/s320/unnamed3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I painted my stamp with the green Maya Mist and covered my white paper with the images. Then I splattered red ink randomly across my 12 x 12 sheet. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKrt4AXELHxvZr8bIfkIVzky_8BM0uAE7ej_UfAV7Ah8S8e7nYJrRU30T-KcRmU9z-rujcAUG8lo_Gbe1PJAgES0Hg2QjPoaoFhXIGVfkeLXzbNAOgDNazbBnLRVMOPDvfrwx3sakbxKA/s1600/unnamed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKrt4AXELHxvZr8bIfkIVzky_8BM0uAE7ej_UfAV7Ah8S8e7nYJrRU30T-KcRmU9z-rujcAUG8lo_Gbe1PJAgES0Hg2QjPoaoFhXIGVfkeLXzbNAOgDNazbBnLRVMOPDvfrwx3sakbxKA/s320/unnamed.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I cut my patterned sheet into 4" x 5 1/4" rectangles. I rubbed Viva Gold around the edges.<br />
<br />
The Viva Gold had dried up since the last time I used it so I had to add a drop or two of water to it. <br />
<br />
I used my Smash pen (fine tip) to sketch lines around the border. Then I added a poinsettia in a corner. Bottom left, top right... either works. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx8Yqr3WTtSQnca3QXq-_6ZDP9A2kyJwehZmTq63PrgB_-q3BL6WvWVJGN4qrpayf4HkVPB33b0II7t2Rbo4btONHGWErB_LA5vFKr7hS2YVKTMfJ_2A4uYiEPrUOKHpOy5AzZZSKkih0/s1600/unnamed2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="336" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx8Yqr3WTtSQnca3QXq-_6ZDP9A2kyJwehZmTq63PrgB_-q3BL6WvWVJGN4qrpayf4HkVPB33b0II7t2Rbo4btONHGWErB_LA5vFKr7hS2YVKTMfJ_2A4uYiEPrUOKHpOy5AzZZSKkih0/s640/unnamed2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped a Christmas greeting. And then matted with the tissue, vellum and patterned paper before adhering it all to my card base. <br />
<br />
I love how they turned out. Who else made their Christmas cards this year? I hope you'll share.<br />
<br />
I'm working on some inky backgrounds for more cards. I need another half dozen for my work mates. If they turn out how I hope I'll share tomorrow.Pink Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17254416539222144530noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653499529782499859.post-17630314451913371082013-11-18T20:46:00.000-07:002013-11-20T17:35:27.986-07:003 kids ROARAug 20 edited to add...<br />
Double page layouts can be tricky sometimes. With this layout I loved the left page and I loved the right page, but once I put them together I felt like the layout was missing something. I was in Unforgettable Memories yesterday and I spotted some new stencils. Tim Holtz stencils. I had to pick up a few. Three of them, to be exact. I decided to use the 'clockworks' stencil to add some more design to the background. Then I used the rest of my inked cheesecloth across the top of my page. <br />
<br />
I think it works much better as a double page layout now. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKDHr9NyJzt0wUi6s4BiPGtg49qgNhIDV0242S7OQi1AGH9WhfjeUdl9IkObMD7_y5okyHEADucCaOeze04MoxpGGAA_OelxiZtwkjVwRWq2OkV0TdvwETDJI4caAi7KJ3kJ7thG98ZTw/s1600/DSCF7326.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="328" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKDHr9NyJzt0wUi6s4BiPGtg49qgNhIDV0242S7OQi1AGH9WhfjeUdl9IkObMD7_y5okyHEADucCaOeze04MoxpGGAA_OelxiZtwkjVwRWq2OkV0TdvwETDJI4caAi7KJ3kJ7thG98ZTw/s640/DSCF7326.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Love the clockwork stencil. I used my felt pad and handle to pick up black ink off the stamp pad and patted over the stencil to show the design. <br />

<a href="http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/2013/11/welcome-to-another-challenge-get-ready.html" target="_blank">Scrapfriends </a>has an interesting colour combo challenge this month. Yellow with different shades of black/grey. Check it out on their <a href="http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/2013/11/welcome-to-another-challenge-get-ready.html">blog...</a><br />
<br />
The colours were perfect for the Halloween photos<em> </em>had of my three scary monsters. <br />
<br />
I had fun with the drips. I was debating about doing the drips all the way across the top of the page, but the hubby put in his two cents with the opinion three drippy splotches were enough. <br />

Here are some close-ups.<br />
<br />
I sprayed the Maya Roads fabric flowers with 'soot' Glimmer Mist. The same colour was sprayed on the cheesecloth. The stickers are Echo Park.<br />

Here's my layout...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKLtTM0Mp04UoahEyD9tmYQReGuiEYow6LLV7ND5D_ERYaUX596OkHopkLh_ACCAzQo8bpAkyZN_XpO7b5ByFzHHNM8k3NWfuhcIUsbD1DwSxfTnCspIH83xZZirNh1RsHsZQLM46VZzY/s1600/DSCF7305.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKLtTM0Mp04UoahEyD9tmYQReGuiEYow6LLV7ND5D_ERYaUX596OkHopkLh_ACCAzQo8bpAkyZN_XpO7b5ByFzHHNM8k3NWfuhcIUsbD1DwSxfTnCspIH83xZZirNh1RsHsZQLM46VZzY/s640/DSCF7305.JPG" width="636" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My background was a lot of fun to make. I started with white cardstock and sprayed blue chalk mist over a 12 x 12 leaf mask. Then I used texture paste with a 6 x 6 stencil I picked up at Unforgettable Memories last week. I know I'll be using this zigzag stencil lots. It creates great texture on a page. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've also sprayed a darker blue Maya Mist and dribbled some blue ink around the edges.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used a small lid and Making Memories blue paint to create some circles on the background.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The blue jewels are Bazzill buttons.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Washi tape, Kaiser jewels and Prima flowers are some of the embellishments I've used.<br />

Blue is not a traditional Halloween colour but it works with my photo. Many of them are sketch challenges. I love scrapbooking from a sketch. Half the work is done for me so I can concentrate on the creative part. I used the sketch at<a href="http://sketchabilities.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank"> Sketchabilities</a> this month. I hope you will give it a whirl.<br />
<br />
My kids are teenagers now and so didn't go trick or treatin' this year. In fact, I didn't even decorate apart from a couple of new purchases. The Halloween boxes under the stairs stayed stored away. <br />
<br />
So I found some old photos I hadn't scrapped previously. My soon to be 19 year old when he was in kindergarten. Love that look of concentration on his face as he works on class projects. <br />
<br />
Here's my layout. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4wzPwU7jtf5ua7fTO2TzwBMmVBCpAm0JO_QUvzdVM8JAmXT163nKv7X0s_pgQAPtyAs_Z3rIJ02g6wAL-Xmas4AuDAKuERUkPL0U7QLwabt1DVWxvnySaNl-lNPlQNt58NCT16_AczjU/s1600/DSCF7290.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4wzPwU7jtf5ua7fTO2TzwBMmVBCpAm0JO_QUvzdVM8JAmXT163nKv7X0s_pgQAPtyAs_Z3rIJ02g6wAL-Xmas4AuDAKuERUkPL0U7QLwabt1DVWxvnySaNl-lNPlQNt58NCT16_AczjU/s640/DSCF7290.JPG" width="624" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.unforgettablememories.ca/" target="_blank">Unforgettable Memories</a> has all their Halloween papers and embellishments in one spot. I chose a couple of Carta Bella pattern papers. My background is the text patterned paper with a skeleton in one corner. Love it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used some yellow and green acrylic paint as well as some 'soot' Glimmer Mist to further colour the background.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAHj4tvaJGAkPqY79yBLpDrtHhIK-7-4X03sx1V-Pmy5P_1ULNz0NuwaV3H2bH-oOvyDEmoYIKxoQg2qBsNhbspBP2y-xdgd1eD4M_BAfPFM5JPj1yxPQoQMzUUq1MFBigTcuzcvfqpW8/s1600/DSCF7291.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAHj4tvaJGAkPqY79yBLpDrtHhIK-7-4X03sx1V-Pmy5P_1ULNz0NuwaV3H2bH-oOvyDEmoYIKxoQg2qBsNhbspBP2y-xdgd1eD4M_BAfPFM5JPj1yxPQoQMzUUq1MFBigTcuzcvfqpW8/s400/DSCF7291.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The stickers are from an Echo Park Halloween pack. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbt3qjIkPFZ5TnGXcNfBawDYaz8L37wXu2FBKNebtSdRM7D38qBQQw9u0h66CKWmGTCBXsy16baGizN1I9npg-kYuG7sJX_LrFIH3HMOCGikyXHZa-Lfjt_0X-0BgI9CHHbmHO6tgllKw/s1600/DSCF7293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbt3qjIkPFZ5TnGXcNfBawDYaz8L37wXu2FBKNebtSdRM7D38qBQQw9u0h66CKWmGTCBXsy16baGizN1I9npg-kYuG7sJX_LrFIH3HMOCGikyXHZa-Lfjt_0X-0BgI9CHHbmHO6tgllKw/s400/DSCF7293.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Cheesecloth has a great texture and is perfect for Halloween pages. I sprayed mine with the 'soot' Glimmer Mist and used under and around my photos. I also used some black Prima flowers as embellishments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I entered it just under the wire. Didn't have time to post it here during the week, so I'm taking time out of my house cleaning chores to do it now. Any excuse... LOL<br />
<br />
<a href="http://kraftitup.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">The Kraft It Up challenge.</a><br />
<br />
October's challenge was to use blue, orange, white/cream and, of course, kraft.<br />

<br />
I used my ray mask again. <br />
The big flower is BoBunny. I pulled up the center bling, popped in the small blue flower and glued the center bling back in. I used my Kaiser stamp and 'pinecone' ink for the journaling columns. And I stamped some little stars in orange from a mini stamp that came with one of my mini alpha sets.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used stickers and orange patterned paper from the Echo Park Halloween pack I got at last winters <a href="http://www.unforgettablememories.ca/" target="_blank">Unforgettable</a> scrapbook retreat. The stickers are the triangle pieces I used on my mini banner below. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
One of the Smash pockets is tucked under the photos on the right hand page to hold extra photos. I embellished my layout with printed kraft flowers by Graphic 45, some mini orange blooms and the wood veneer camera by Kaiser.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0huDiTYl0K5wWL7yQ-j0qtLJqAF1eyJQDVojs4zL9LPwhhD2wzbn0aZVZPj9tgml4OeBoJTmsT8ePd9QEIkZMNzNQh3_ZdF-PuNfh5cbAwdL-hJFrcrodalaK3C7nCuVUmnScv0kvi2o/s1600/DSCF7270.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0huDiTYl0K5wWL7yQ-j0qtLJqAF1eyJQDVojs4zL9LPwhhD2wzbn0aZVZPj9tgml4OeBoJTmsT8ePd9QEIkZMNzNQh3_ZdF-PuNfh5cbAwdL-hJFrcrodalaK3C7nCuVUmnScv0kvi2o/s320/DSCF7270.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I used another of the clear frames by Harmonie to frame my little guys while they watched Papa chop wood for their bonfire. Nice to know Papa didn't hand the ax to one of my little hooligans! I pop dotted the photo to bring it forward a little.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I also pop dotted the photo of Pysanka's big egg and wrapped twine around the bottom, embellished with a mini orange bloom.<br />

<a href="http://kraftitup.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Kraft It Up</a> is a fun challenge blog. Novembers challenge is to use flairs, wood veneers or enamel dots on kraft. I have wood veneers, though I think a shopping trip to<a href="https://www.facebook.com/UnforgettableMemoriesFotoSource" target="_blank"> Unforgettable Memories</a> is in order to beef up my stash.Pink Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17254416539222144530noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8653499529782499859.post-67868332314338949442013-10-24T18:26:00.001-07:002013-10-24T18:26:48.314-07:00White with 1 challengeHave you ever played <a href="http://whitewith1.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">White with 1</a>? The challenge this month is to create a layout with white and watermelon (peachy pink). Players are permitted to use up to 15% black along with the white and watermelon. Here's my layout.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx15sFOUcbFKT4dQez2t8z6yHMJDimVYXW-QJPlm-4k0NyrBVRhmEEOXfOzlDj0aALXc8J2Ap92pZd3HLRnKB4Vi5WXu1Fd0L7ENg4BkI9t9eu2eFslHrFXUgl3VSfb_4T8zbVWmHx6JQ/s1600/DSCF7254.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx15sFOUcbFKT4dQez2t8z6yHMJDimVYXW-QJPlm-4k0NyrBVRhmEEOXfOzlDj0aALXc8J2Ap92pZd3HLRnKB4Vi5WXu1Fd0L7ENg4BkI9t9eu2eFslHrFXUgl3VSfb_4T8zbVWmHx6JQ/s640/DSCF7254.JPG" width="628" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I picked up the 'rays' stencil/mask at the last evening crop Unforgettable Memories hosted and have been eager to use it ever since. I sprayed my pink Glimmer Mist over it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used my snowflake embossing punch along the right edge and then just a punch or two on the top and left edges. I really love how this tool punches out the snowflake and also embosses a design on the rest of the border strip. It is so pretty!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Some closeups...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg60vkXvXqF5EIIHKhGKlAAff6l4e-Dd-HByjUDSDBtAY_yHWKZokfliFxdtzdzm6sKNf1rHSnXZi2zOgCMRwkd9JpQmN5OMlxzrELBq1aAVSn_dEyxwt0GdYpPQacHot07P67t71D4Wsw/s1600/DSCF7256.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg60vkXvXqF5EIIHKhGKlAAff6l4e-Dd-HByjUDSDBtAY_yHWKZokfliFxdtzdzm6sKNf1rHSnXZi2zOgCMRwkd9JpQmN5OMlxzrELBq1aAVSn_dEyxwt0GdYpPQacHot07P67t71D4Wsw/s320/DSCF7256.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Prima flowers, some twine, a Smash stamp and a Kaiser wood bird clustered together make a pretty corner embellishment for my photo. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLObjWckdg_wMqHib_6Te0e_Vy1KA04lP7-J3WJRxT8mQQmWJiiBWPOoQawYB7Ofng9LA5Olh2Gv4BvLjGuFQfjh5ubDjX8Z3z9_tCadCB8i59y9EwtePmMgDOrPPR7pvhAK3AW2za-Vo/s1600/DSCF7258.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLObjWckdg_wMqHib_6Te0e_Vy1KA04lP7-J3WJRxT8mQQmWJiiBWPOoQawYB7Ofng9LA5Olh2Gv4BvLjGuFQfjh5ubDjX8Z3z9_tCadCB8i59y9EwtePmMgDOrPPR7pvhAK3AW2za-Vo/s320/DSCF7258.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Love the corduroy brads I used in the center of the flowers. They are Pink Paisley. The clear frame is from a pack by Harmonie. The black feathers are from a Halloween boa that is falling apart and dropping feathers throughout my home.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfrUbmTjpmSryyyQcKn1t3zD9DQvppKaZzSesJzZsA60fM-0vXhYKvbGGpLtaNP7FTucdb_HYq7NwDYcSkKLXelDO1kPos5nKSTT8fqqtqq0gUUbC3WpKjFbVXoVVWYORuHwia9KtTiOw/s1600/DSCF7259.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="269" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfrUbmTjpmSryyyQcKn1t3zD9DQvppKaZzSesJzZsA60fM-0vXhYKvbGGpLtaNP7FTucdb_HYq7NwDYcSkKLXelDO1kPos5nKSTT8fqqtqq0gUUbC3WpKjFbVXoVVWYORuHwia9KtTiOw/s320/DSCF7259.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
On the rays I glued strips of black polka dot patterned paper from a BoBunny Halloween paper pack given to me at the winter crop Unforgettable Memories puts on, out at the Blueberry. I also added strips of netting and text washi tape to the rays. And I used my Smash date stamp. My journaling also followed the angle of the rays. <br />

I don't often use these two colours together as the main theme. I can remember my Dad when he was helping me pick my outfit for the day when I was in elementary school rhyming ~<br />
"Blue and Green,<br />
should never be seen!"<br />
<br />
Here's my background. I love all the texture!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnAnVpewkN8f0KR5bV0Pf5jBCGf4nt98hVqz-8oLbqi80i9uYFoElGMQLzIuOmdIPq06akiiTUgWZQZIsbFStrznkRDQ4kkfd7BK9PU5V8od8ClVg1GJ_qVSQDcHC2PbBOtfw6-Q0ogOc/s1600/DSCF7231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnAnVpewkN8f0KR5bV0Pf5jBCGf4nt98hVqz-8oLbqi80i9uYFoElGMQLzIuOmdIPq06akiiTUgWZQZIsbFStrznkRDQ4kkfd7BK9PU5V8od8ClVg1GJ_qVSQDcHC2PbBOtfw6-Q0ogOc/s640/DSCF7231.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used one of my Tim Holtz masks. I used white texture paste ~ the green came off my mask as I was swiping the past across my page. Guess who doesn't clean off her masks very well after use?<br />
I tried to hold this up in the light so you could see the shimmer from the mists but it still looks better IRL.<br />
<br />
And here's the completed layout. Washi tape on the top and bottom edges, We R Memory Keepers patterned paper as mattes and lots of Prima flowers. The wood leaves are Kaiser and I have a cute little Jolee's Bird in a Cage sticker.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_p5s28YjjReQEaluMFDyEIWn6RWnmnkmY9Ubeuh8SpmeG_LNle52Rkt-60p-xAkY1oFdSo1Na6lpqepI2ob3sadJLI5jSQiG7dtTmMvq_8n-AZ3kTJspy-BPr29xlWhLjI-HvCPZ72TE/s1600/DSCF7243.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_p5s28YjjReQEaluMFDyEIWn6RWnmnkmY9Ubeuh8SpmeG_LNle52Rkt-60p-xAkY1oFdSo1Na6lpqepI2ob3sadJLI5jSQiG7dtTmMvq_8n-AZ3kTJspy-BPr29xlWhLjI-HvCPZ72TE/s640/DSCF7243.JPG" width="616" /></a></div>
<br />
Here are some closeups of my embellishments...<br />
<br />
I punched the little bird and the green leaves out of some Prima packaging. Layered lots of Prima blooms.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVsCQ68eA7MYVlHcvjyd4pHbipY51HXX2v95DBvlUf-ojWciayWfUdn56gCQ0OBAeE5EYVPMaimJdBu_OTY3TxKQWu52RGZK2LUxfuNJ5HX3sPM1I6W_pjTNU1gU3xntUcvGdMt0fJ0Y4/s1600/DSCF7237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVsCQ68eA7MYVlHcvjyd4pHbipY51HXX2v95DBvlUf-ojWciayWfUdn56gCQ0OBAeE5EYVPMaimJdBu_OTY3TxKQWu52RGZK2LUxfuNJ5HX3sPM1I6W_pjTNU1gU3xntUcvGdMt0fJ0Y4/s400/DSCF7237.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Had to get a little camera in there. The "oh, snap!" is the Smash date stamp.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilY5UaOhz17d-O82g4jFG73X19kkaljoH0qM7e8zhYj8yXVc-Fy1eAHoG7Vwr6x61beCpglt0l4_d5TRfn87V4drw8WCor3hlH5BunrS5De4tfHl7mOgAfHah9HMSiAadP1CV9XrWnESY/s1600/DSCF7238.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilY5UaOhz17d-O82g4jFG73X19kkaljoH0qM7e8zhYj8yXVc-Fy1eAHoG7Vwr6x61beCpglt0l4_d5TRfn87V4drw8WCor3hlH5BunrS5De4tfHl7mOgAfHah9HMSiAadP1CV9XrWnESY/s400/DSCF7238.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Check out the little bird in a cage. Isn't he cute. It looks like he's looking right at Daniel getting a Papa haircut.<br />
