Little Christmas boxes

Breanna(10) has been crocheting beaded bracelets and necklaces for her teacher and friends. Shhhh! Don't tell Mrs. Martin what she's getting ;) Aren't they pretty? And very simple. Just chained silver thread with shimmery beads every 5th stitch.
Yesterday we started building little jewellery boxes to gift them in. And they double as Christmas ornaments. I got the pattern for the box on the Scrapbooks Etc website. They made theirs with cardstock and then paperpieced patterns for the front. Very cute!
For my first box I used the embossed snowflake paper by Love, Elsie and added a bling snowflake for sparkle. Breanna used the checkered Love, Elsie for her first box and positioned a bling snowflake over the snowflake in the pattern. She decided to set an eyelet in the ribbon hole for a more finished look.
We also made a couple boxes with Sandy Lion pattern papers and 3-d stickers. They are so quick and easy to make you can bet there will be a few on our tree this Christmas... quite a few.
