The weather is HORRIBLE today, so here is some pretty eye candy to brighten you up. The first 3 are shots of layouts brought in by the wonderful Christine, the last is a card made by me. Hope they inspire you to create something wonderful of your own on this wet mucky day. I'll try to have the website updated with full shots later today.

Quickutz
Big big Quickutz news! If you're a reader of our weekly email you'll have noticed that Quickutz product goes on sale for a whopping 40% off starting tomorrow!! This sale includes any and all Quickutz. Don't worry if you're a die hard QK fan, this does not mean that we are going out of QK. What this means is that we've just recently been able to negotiate new lower prices on Quickutz. We've decided to have a sale to blow out some old items at a great price for you to make room for the new, lower priced stock. How much of a lower price you ask? Single 2x2 dies will be 7.99 (now 9.99) and double 2x2 dies will be 13.99 (now 19.99). Pretty amazing eh? If you haven't got into Quickutz yet this sale is the perfect time to do it.
The photo above is a shot of the new Canada Cookie Cutter set for the Revolution. 3 of these arrived today, and they are LIMITED EDITION. That means, when they're gone, they're gone. Also arrived today is 4 new alphabet die sets. These are top secret until Saturday May 3rd - National Scrapbook Day. What I can tell you now is that they will be at an excellent price of $129.99. These sets are totally fun and fresh, and come in the most creative packaging I have ever seen. What's really neat is that QK is giving away vacations - 4 of them! When you buy one of these alphabet sets you'll get a code to enter online for a chance to win a vacation. Very cool. You'll want to pop by on or after May 3rd to get a glimpse of these (I'll try to post photos Saturday).
QK has also just started out a new Community on their website. If you go to http://www.quickutz.com/ you'll see the Community link at the top of the page. If you sign up you can go in and see lots of great ideas posted by people all over the world, comment on them and even post your own. This is a totally cool idea. I've had a certain QK die that I just haven't been able to use. QK didn't really have any inspiration for it on their own idea gallery, but when I searched for it in the new community I found 6 really great ideas that have inspired me to pull out that old die. Hopefully it'll spark some creativity in you as well.Saturday, April 26, 2008
SEI
Look at the fun new freight I'm putting into the computer today. This stuff arrived yesterday, and it's all so great. 3 lines from SEI - 2 baby and one romantic. There's also some great Velvet papers; one print for each of the lines, and then a series of coloured velvets. I'm excited to use some of these in my Quickutz, I think they'll make for a very interesting texture. (The photo to the left is the 3 printed velvet papers).
This photo is the Chick-a-Doo baby boy line. It's got some most excellent birdies in it. I love the colours and picked up a couple sheets myself because I don't think that the paper necessarily has to be baby. You should see the card packs that go with. They're half embellished, making it easy to finish a card quickly. The girl baby line is similar but in pinks and yellows, here's a shot of some of the embellies.
Again, for those of you who don't have babies, the majority of this stuff isn't 100% baby. And the pieces that are you could save and use with your paper scraps on a baby card for someone. The colours are very springy.
I just realised I didn't take any shots of the last line, which is called Jolie Chocolat. There's very pretty reds, pinks, and purples in this line with tonnes of glittery, foiled and embossed papers.

Tsukineko and Preorders
More stock again today! Lots of ink pads arrived from Tuskineko as well as some reinkers. If you were after a Glue Pad or White Stazon they are now here! I thought I'd give a quick little rundown of some basic ink pads, as they can get confusing.
Staz on: This ink is great for stamping on non-porous surfaces. In scrapbooking we use it most to distress clear acrylic books (Heidi Swapp Ghost Shapes, clear albums).
Versa fine: Do you have stamps that you can never get quite a clear impression with? Versafine is perfect for those really detailed images (think: sketched stamps, stamps with shading, or lots of detail). You'll get a gorgoues image every time.
Archival ink: This is waterproof. Great for using watercolour pencil crayons or blender pens to colour in images because it won't smudge.
Adirondack: Use these for general stamping on cardstock. They are also the inks we use on glossy paper to create the Stampscapes designs.
Versacolour: Pigment ink for general stamping. Also good for heat embossing.
There's more ink pads out there, but hopefully that helped you to understand some of the more common ones from Tsukineko and Ranger. If you have questions about any of them come on in or send me an email.
I also just got word that some preorders from Prima and Pink Paislee are shipping soon. I can't remember what I ordered to be completely honest, but both companies have some really great stuff. Pink Paislee is a brand new company that has some excellent die cut papers. I can't wait for these to arrive!

Buy 2 Get One FREE!
A shipment arrived from Inkadinkado today. The box was filled with these beautiful flourish-y stamps. Look how great they are! This isn't even all of them. There's 10 desgins in total to choose from. The best part is, they are all part of a really special deal. Pick out two stamps from this collection and get one more for FREE! How excellent is that?
Here's a peek at Trina's newest layout. It's called "A stylin' nu du" made from Karen Foster paper, rubons and stickers. A very cute layout indeed. And, she actually included some of her daughter's hair.
Have you guys heard of Copic Markers yet? These pens are gaining popularity with stampers all over. They are a double tipped pen ideal for colouring in your stamped images. They come in lots of great colours and shades. You can actually change out the tips on them when they get old, so you always have a crisp image. These will go fast for sure.

Spring?
This morning I shovelled the walkway. Don't get me wrong, I like a little hard work, and it's satisfying to see it all cleaned off. But in APRIL? You've got to be kidding me. I'd like to save all future snow shoveling until next year thank you.
I'm just working on getting out all this new Adornit Carolee's product. There's really some cool outdoorsy pieces in here. We actually got some more magazines today as well, including a Cloth Paper Scissors special issue dedicated just to Craft Studios. Lots of great ideas if you're planning a hobby room.
I also wanted to remind people about our Cosmo Cricket draw. If you spend $25 before tax on ANYTHING Cosmo you'll be entered into a draw to win one of four prizes. There's lots of neat minibooks and chipboard alphas created out of black chipboard and 3 great paper lines.

Weekly Email
Some people have told me they didn't recieve the email this week, myself included. I'm not quite sure why, as the program we use isn't indicating that it couldn't send to those emails that didn't get it. I just wanted to let you know that you can still view the email by following this link: http://onlineitools.com/archive/view/3126/1
I apologise for the error, and hopefully it won't happen again.

A layout to share
Christine dropped off a few layouts yesterday. They are absolutely gorgeous as always. Her style of mixing old and new product really inspires me. Lets all challenge ourselves to use one piece of old for every one (or two!) new. This photo shows her layout "Monkeyin Around". She used Creative Imagination's Animal Mania line which just arrived in store yesterday. People are lovin' it. This layout as well as her other two will be posted in full on the website very soon.

Welcome Welcome!
Hi everyone! Welcome to our new blog. There's so much going on every day at Unforgettable Memories we thought that this would be the best way to update everyone. Lynette even bought me a brand new camera so that I could take photos of new classes, new product, and friendly faces. I've got lots to show you today!!! Ten boxes of freight arrived yesterday, and I'm just now getting things organized.
Here's a peek at the new Prima Obsessions flowers. These come in several colours. Each package has a couple different sizes in them as well. They are such bright, vibrant shades, perfect for summer! The best part is they are all embossed with beautiful flourishes. These will go fast.
The above is a shot of some of the new Animal Crackers line from Making Memories. This comes in boy and girl.... pink and blue. But for those of you that dont have kids, don't fret! Lots of this line is not obviously baby, so you can use it on all sorts of pages. There's a tonne of coordinating pieces, epoxies, felt, velvet brads, die cut papers, glittered papers, embellishment kits.......... Look for a class done with this line by Crystal soon as well!
Finally, this is a close up of a portion of a layout I brought in today. It'll be a class entitled "Friends" on April 29th. Come down to see the full layout on display.
