Wilton Goodies!

Wow! Did we ever get some cool Wilton goodies in this past week!


One of my favourites is the Dimensions Multi-Cavity Mini Pumpkins Pan. With one pan you make the top and bottom of 3D Pumpkin Cakes. After baking, put them together with some frosting or filling and then decorate! You could even use them with the melting chocolates and make little candy holders. So many possibilities!



Then there is the Halloween Cookie Shapes Non-Stick Pan. It has 12 classic Halloween shapes. All you do is make up your sugar cookie dough, press it into the pan, bake and decorate. So easy and fun!

We also now have in striped icing from Wilton as well as icing tips that can fit right on the icing tubes.

Gum Paste Flowers. These look so beautiful on a cake and now Wilton has an easy way for you to create them at home.

New Wilton in Store

We have got lots of new Wilton product in store as well as having restocked some of the other stuff.

New in store we have candy colouring! This lets you colour the Wilton melting candies. We have two sets of colours available: Garden and Candy.

Making Red Icing!

OK so every time I go to make Red Buttercream icing for cakes, cookies or cupcakes it's such a challenge to get the red red color.
Found a neat tip on the Wilton Website though about how to get it Red, Red so I thought I would share....

Do you ever have any problems getting red icing red? I know I do. It can happen for a couple of reasons: didn’t add enough icing color or used shortening with a high yellow dye content, such as butter flavored shortening. Do you have a lot of minerals in your water that could make a difference (like well water)?

In the Wilton Decorating Room, we get the best results for a brighter red color using a combination of Red-Red Icing Color with Christmas Red Icing Color, equal parts. It will take a large amount of the icing  Click here to read more.......

Halloween Cookie House

Lynette has been busy the last few days with new products and services launches so I am posting some pictures of the super Halloween Cookie House that Carol-Lyn and Tyler did.
